Have you ever read about some of the great adventures that other amateur radio operators do on DX-peditions? They take off and go to some exclusive island somewhere in the world and make contacts all over the world on the radio they bring with them. They also enjoy being in some of the most beautiful scenic spots when they operate too. Did you ever wish you could do something just like the stories and be a part of a great adventure? Well here is your chance!!! Join us just before the QCWA 2005 Alaska Convention/Cruise for a DX-pedition to Fox Island in Resurrection Bay, Alaska. The island sits in a beautiful surrounding of Alaska shoreline. While you are in the Seward and Fox Island areas, don’t be surprised if you see Bald Eagles, Sea Lions, and Sea Otters or possibly even a Humpback or Orcas whale. If this DX-pedition something you would like to take part in. Please read on for more details!!

BE THE DX

We are partnering with ICOM Radio and ARRAY Solutions during the cruise and Fox Island DX-pedition (IOTA NA-197) using only ICOM Radios and ARRAY Solutions HF for all our official contacts. Gordon West, WB6NOA will join us and host a licensing or upgrading class on the ship, if there is enough interest. We will then offer license testing on the last full day we are at sea.
